It’s a common and very disturbing theme. One of the subjects I’ve yet to write about in detail is the most disturbing of the 15 “Friends of Israel” type groups in Parliament (not that having 15 isn’t disturbing enough!).

But a group “Australia/Israel Allies Caucus” relaunched in February last year. Basically a bipartisan Christian Zionist organisation for “faith based diplomacy” in our Parliaments. Defence industry heavy with Shadow Defence Minister Wallace as the Chair. Same groups in multiple parliaments globally all co-ordinated from Israel.

And all driven by an Israel-can-do-no-wrong blind religious ideology that has no place in our Parliaments.

That’s where Morrison was coming from and why he was targeted in 2003 by AIJAC. And why the Morrison/Frydenberg pairing presided over the most Israel friendly legislative agenda in Australian history.
