Here’s the thing about being in community: it requires an entire shift in ethos, a deep understanding that we are truly responsible to each other. What that means is that we also have to call each other into accountability. If our goal is to establish stronger communities as a means toward building the kind of world we all deserve, withdrawing from or disposing from people if they don’t meet your expectations of them becomes a strategic failure.
