One of my favorite things about Substack is how writing here doesn’t exist in a vacuum—it’s part of a larger conversation. I read Kathleen Donahoe’s post yesterday and it shook something loose in my brain, completely reframing the essay I’d thought was finished for tomorrow.
Now I’m furiously revising—equal parts annoyed at myself for cutting it so close and thrilled to have had my thinking stretched in this way. In the end, that’s the gift: the work (hopefully) gets sharper.
You’ll have to come back tomorrow to see for yourselves!
