He gave his passport to the agent for review but refused to give up his phone. His client is an American citizen, and while she cannot be deported, her attorney may be prevented from participating in her due process case as he was led to a room for further questioning.

This is clear violation of due process. They must show a warrant for arrest, and she is entitled to representation by a lawyer. If you are participating in this inhumanity, please remember that “I was just following orders” is not a defense, and I hope karma bites your ass HARD.
