Right on the cusp of polling day for the SA state election, One Nation’s shiny parachute candidate has spectacularly detonated.

Reports in the last hour say that UK authorities have issued an arrest warrant after Aio Baxter allegedly failed to attend court over sexual assault charges.

One Nation has reportedly dumped him and will “cooperate with authorities.”

When Baxter was referred to as a “candidate for SA”, I didn’t think the SA would stand for something completely different.

With less than 18 hours before polls open, ON volunteers who were running on a script now have no script, preference deals and leaflets need urgent rethinking, and the noise machine that feeds One Nation’s momentum will instead feed a 24-hour media feeding frenzy.
