We all have dream collaborations we hope will someday come to fruition. For many Hip-hop fans, that collaboration was a full-length project from Nas & DJ Premier - two legends who've worked together on occasion, and make magic every time they've connected.

While listening to their project and checking out some of the interviews that accompanied its release, I started to think about the idea of craft and how important it is to the creative process.

When budgets dwindle, and PR stunts don't work as they used to, the only thing that truly cuts through is a deep commitment to craft. The creation of quality work that meets a standard that your audience has come to expect from you. Something that you deliver consistently, time and again.
