I saw a creator in a very specific niche with a pretty massive following say, “I’m not being a hater, I promise!”
…and then immediately proceeds to complain about an entire category of posts filling their feed and how “exhausting” it all is. 🙄
UMMM. Yeah. That’s still hater energy.
I just wanted to yell STOP IT!
People are trying to get their message out. They’re trying to build businesses. Trying to be seen. They’re trying to survive in a world where visibility matters whether we like it or not.
And hi - lucky you - you already HAVE the big audience, the recognition, the awards, the credibility. (And yes, talent matters. Absolutely. But let’s not pretend timing, luck, exposure, connections, and algorithms don’t play a role too.)
So maybe don’t publicly rag on the people still climbing the mountain.
✤Their feed is NOT your problem.✤
Mute it. Scroll past it. Curate your algorithm, friend.
But people sharing their ideas, promoting their work, posting imperfectly, trying different things, repeating themselves, showing up consistently?
That’s not embarrassing. It’s amazing. It’s wonderful. It gets you out of the typical corporate BS structure.
That’s called building something.
PLEASE PLEASE… Do the posts. Share the thoughts. Promote your work. Repeat yourself. Take up space anyway.
Rant over. 🦋
