Thank you Seth! Exactly like you said: not new ideas but indeed delusionally and violently being severed from modern psyches and institutions. We need all of our diverse voices!
The thirst for a universal and homogeneous truth (or self, as in an autonomous being) is, at its core, an ecological nightmare. A monoculture of the soul and the mind. Just as agricultural monocultures aim for maximum yield but only result in soil erosion and depletion, it eliminates complexity, weakens systems, and drastically reduces life’s resilience. Ecology teaches us that power lies in diversity, in difference without separability, in the friction between ways of being. Life is not linear, flat, stable, or impartial. It tilts, proliferates, resists, exceeds.... To seek a single truth or to single out the self (or body, or identity) is to amputate the complexity of reality
But it is indeed a disorienting unlearning trail (for people like me, steeped in modernity's illiteracy of paradox) to listen otherwise to contextual truths, accepting that living is inhabiting a mesh of multiple, irreducible, deeply relational forces... such as our own bodies.
