A few things that cheered me up on this maddening, smoggy Sunday:

• A solo try-on date at 100% Silk in Toronto, where I found the most beautiful fish appliqué skirt (so funny that we were just lamenting the mainstreaming of fish adornments, Eleanor 😉)

• A key holder with a quirky hand-painted loon—spotted at an antique store—that I’m seriously debating getting for our entryway

• This hilarious book cover that so accurately reflects my experience of motherhood lately

• A necklace my daughter and I put together using assorted beads procured from the aforementioned antique store (we’re “sharing” it)

• An amazing dinner made by my husband, featuring his famous chanterelle wine sauce over tenderloin and the most beautiful glazed carrots
