I’m all for following and subscribing to people on Substack but give me an effing break. Some writers I admire are asking for £75 a year for their articles. That same amount of money gets me access to Amazon Prime shows, grocery orders, Music and links my calendar to my Alexa at the touch of a button. Unless you can also offer me free healthcare alongside your articles, I’m not paying that much money for your work. If you like two writers on here & want to subscribe that’s 150 quid. I like reading, but not that much.
