Mojitos and sunsets

Hanging out with my parents for 2 weeks is a luxury.

Exploring Cádiz, San Fernando, Vejer de la Frontera, Medina Sidonia, Jerez ... soaking in Andalusia's beauty.

Mojitos and stunning sunsets.

Still summer weather, just without the summer holiday craziness.

A luxury.

Not just because my parents are 82 and 86 years old and fitter than many half their age.

A luxury because I carved out the time to actually be with them the entire time.

Not like in my sewing business days when I'd squeeze out a couple of guilty lunches before heading back to the sewing studio to finish a bunch of dresses in time.

Not like in previous years, when we'd head out and then rush back because I had calls on the calendar.

I have to admit, it was the first time in over 21 years in business that I allowed myself to disconnect in this way. It might not feel like a big deal to you .. but it's massive progress for me 🤪💃

And I know for sure it wasn't the last time ..
