Make money doing the work you believe in
This morning I woke up to reality.
Had a dream taking me back to my sewing business days.
I arrived at a dance school for a fitting, flying through the door as the little dancers and their mothers looked at me with expectant eyes.
As each of them tried on their costumes, I could feel the heat crawl up my neck and settle on my face.
Then the knot in my stomach.
That familiar weight ... how much work was still left and how little time there was to do it.
Another beautiful spring season I wouldn’t get to enjoy.
Then I felt a wet nose nudging me.
Lea.
Demanding breakfast.
A soft breeze carried the scent of spring, and as I landed in the here and now, the knot in my stomach loosened fast.
Back then, I thought I had created freedom.
I was doing what I loved.
I was my own boss.
But I'd built myself a relentless hamster wheel.
That’s the part nobody talks about.
Just because you can design your life…
...doesn’t mean you automatically design one you actually want to live.
It’s so easy to recreate the same pressure, just with a different backdrop.
More freedom on paper.
Less space in reality.
There is a saying I love, "Be careful what you wish for, you might just get it."
That's why, these days, when I work with clients, we don’t start with funnels or tech or strategy.
We start with:
👉 What do you actually want your days to feel like?
👉 How do you want to spend your time?
Because that familiar knot?
It has a way of coming back ... until you design your days with intention.
