Will. This is the clearest framing of where geospatial is heading that I've encountered. The PI architecture is right, and your instinct that embodiment is the key to alignment is one of the most interesting ideas in here.

I've been thinking hard about what sits just beyond it. You end by gesturing at something you don't quite name: your fire chief gets a better map, but she still has to make the causal leaps herself. That's the bottleneck PI doesn't yet close. I've written up what I think comes next ... a causal reasoning layer on top of the LEM foundation, which I'm calling Causal Planetary Intelligence. Where she doesn't receive a map at all, but simulated decision paths the system has already reasoned through.
