There is some dignity and power in risk. The more times our kids take (even little) chances, the more examples of where the appropriate limits are to their abilities. We adults (parents and teachers) need to provide opportunities to *do* things.

Ir's just not possible to learn how to do things without, in fact, doing things. Protecting our kids from risks probably is disabling them.
