Since today is not a special anniversary, I will introduce a Zen saying.
春色無高下 (Shunshoku koge nashi) - Spring colors have no high or low
This phrase means, "there is no distinction of high or low in the scenery of spring." The light and warmth of spring fall equally and impartially on both tall trees and short grasses growing at our feet, making each of them bloom. It is a phrase that encapsulates the Zen perspective that all existence is equal, through the phenomena of the natural world.
