I think (consumer) AI is the only tech ever built in which we’ve made way, way more progress in the shortest time possible. Before this, most of the technologies we previously experienced: electricity, telephone, computer, internet, etc—took a little longer to spread. But AI? I think we’ve made a decade's worth of progress/adaptation in just a few years, and part of the reason for this I’d say is the internet itself. Feels so unreal tbh.
