By my count today is my 60th day on Substack. So I’m going to call out people today who made a big difference to me. approached me when I had 82 subscribers, and I was unsure if Substack was the place for me.

He is likely the sole reason I kept posting. His kindness and support has always been close to unmatched. Constant words of encouragement, constant kind messages. To this day he will call me out and say something kind completely unprovoked. Or talk to me for hours in DMs about what I might do to have greater success on here.

There is not any one on here who has had more influence on my Substack than HVR. I don’t know if I’m even here, writing, if he had not shown up in my feed with some profanity.

He is also one of a very small number of writers on here, who I think have a distinct authorial voice. I cannot thank this man enough.
