At 57 I quit my government job after 35 years

It was 2020 and COVID was raging

I worked as an Election Official and if you know, you know. 2020 sucked

At first I didn’t know what to do with myself

Then I started playing with art

Crayons, paint, digital, textile, writing, You name it - I tried to create it

Except music - I love music, but music doesn’t love me

But that’s a thread for a different day

Now, I get to play all day, doing things I love to do, making mistakes, making bad art, making okay art, making pretty art

And at 62, I’m happy

It’s never too late to do the things that make you happy

If you’re not happy where you are, move

You are not a tree!
