Respectfully, I think it’s good that the NYT facilitated this debate. This is a conversation that is happening. A LOT of people—a lot of women—have bought into the feminization-ruining-the-world thesis. It is good for liberal feminists that a thinker like Leah Libresco Sargeant, who is widely respected on the right, was given (and accepted!) the opportunity to vigorously push back on Andrews’ thesis. It makes it clear in a very visible way that you can be a skeptic of a certain flavour of modern liberal feminism without buying into the idea that women’s entry into the labor force is to blame for all of our social ills.

What happened, New York Times? Why not stand by your original headline? Because it’s absolutely an accurate representation of this trash conversation.

To publish this at all should be a fireable offense - but to publish it as women’s rights are being decimated is deeply immoral, bordering on evil
