I’m going to say something that shouldn’t be controversial but will be. If you are a Christian, you can support border control and immigration being legal vs illegal. You CANNOT celebrate deportations and get off on the cruelty, and be a real Christ follower. Period
You made it, you own it
You always own your intellectual property, mailing list, and subscriber payments. With full editorial control and no gatekeepers, you can do the work you most believe in.
This is so bizarre... why would anyone pay to hear this banal nonsense? The two "creators" (and I'm using that word at the very limit of its meaning...) advocate for TikTok being a shop front for Amazon like that is a good thing... they assume what the world needs is more consumerism and vacuous opinions promoting more consumerism. Please don't come to Substack; we don't want you here. You aren't welcome. If your content (god, I hate that word) is so great, take it to X or Bluesky or Threads... that's full of millennials looking for people to make decisions for them and tell them how to live the most boring consumerist lives possible. Substack is about craft; it is about real opinions, and the work is the value piece, not the sell-on advertisements and cross-promotion. Substack is for writers... we are not content creators; we aren't digital marketers, and we came here to escape you. I'm sure you are both lovely people dedicated to selling as much junk as possible, but please don't pollute something that is working for real artists. Respect their space - don't for one second think we won't fight back - we will spam you, mute you, block you and write long, focused essays on why everything TikTok and everyone who profits from it is not welcome here.
