In the book, Osmon writes about the genre chronologically, covering each year of the 1980s, and touches on the same artists I did in my book and many, many others. (One of my favorite aspects of Won’t Back Down is how she finds time for largely forgotten but worthwhile acts like the BoDeans and Lone Justice, as well as scores of other bands I know only by names and albums covers.)
