Leaving Guatemala for warmer days in El Salvador! Yet again I’m making myself a  little mood board for my upcoming trip . A look and feel for the sites, the food, the art, the whatever I want to experience. It has become a fun lil habit, and perhaps it could inspire someone else do a scapbook-style travel planning.

1. I’ve been dreaming about visiting Ruta de las Flores for so long. Finally, I’ll be experiencing the gorgeous little towns, and seeing all the flowers and art along this famous route.

2. I’ll keep the cold horchatas coming. Made of rice and cinnamon, I reckon it’ll be my kind of drink. I hear they’re extra good with a splash of rum.

3. I love the work of Salvadorian artist Fernando Llort. Looking so much forward to visit El Árbol de Dios, that used to be his studio in San Salvador.

4. I probably won’t be able to meet him in person, but I definitely need to read up on — and talk to people about — the actions President Nayib Bukele took to make the country safe. Gangs: gone. Human rights: also gone?! 

5. In El Salvador I’ll be skimpy but stylish. After freezing my butt off in Guatemala, I’m ready for summer fits. Think colour and a touch of 90s perhaps.
