Frida Kahlo’s diary

I tend to become spellbound by historical figures. Years ago, when I went to Mexico City often, Frida Kahlo captured my imagination. Visiting Kahlo’s family home in Coyoacan is a magical experience. And I was able to take an artifact home with me: a beautiful edition of Kahlo’s diary that sits on my coffee table. I can’t read Spanish very well, so for me it’s the emotive handwriting, the layouts, the illustrations, the colors. Marvelous.
