Stanislas-Henri-Benoit Darondeau, Greek Women at the Slave Market (1830).

The painting depicts a Greek woman who has been captured and is being sold at the slave market in Constantinople. Although Darondeau's painting is clearly idealized and stylized, it evocatively represents the horrific fate of thousands of women during the revolution.
