This is so spot on. I also think there is a bit of a cycle: brands often reference slim, tall women, which makes it easier for these women to dress well. They then assume they are inherently good at fashion and start their own brands based on those same proportions. Encouragingly, I've seen some brands recently that specifically target other body types, for example, Viveh comes to mind for the pear-shaped bodytype, but would love to find more brands for curvier types
