She went to take out her own money. Her own money. And she was arrested for it.

A 61-year-old Black woman tries to withdraw $5,000 from her own account. The teller says her ID 'doesn't look right.' The police are called. She's handcuffed. Taken to the station. Charged—not with fraud, not with robbery. Just for existing while Black while trying to access what was already hers.

This is 'banking while Black.' It's real. It's disgusting. And it keeps happening.

If the money is hers and the account is hers, then the only suspicious thing in that bank was the person who decided to call the police instead of doing their job.
