This is happening right now. A Black woman in Lithuania is facing three years in prison after an incident being described as 'insolence to a white woman.' Read that again.
This is what people mean when they talk about white women's tears being weaponized. Obviously this isn't about all white women. It's about a pattern where a white woman's distress is treated as more believable, more important, and more worthy of protection than a Black woman's safety or truth.
