Just canceled a scheduled trip to the UK for a conference speech and a vacation to see family and friends for the end of the month. The Bukele press conference was too terrifying to ignore.

I don’t think any vociferous public critic of the Trump administration can risk leaving and then re-entering the US right now, especially if you are only a naturalized citizen. Naturalized citizenship is no more a guarantee of security than a green card, if Marco Rubio feels like it.

It’s not the same country any more, and we need to adjust. No foreign travel for four years is a price worth paying for some peace of mind.
