The onslaught against Kristof is odd given that Israelis have been reporting and documenting prisoner abuse of the same kind for several years. Haaretz is as concerned as anyone (see below). The idea that it is an OUTRAGE to cover any of this is something many Israelis disagree with. But for some Americans it’s a “blood libel”!

This doesn’t come out of nowhere. And the obvious next step is to open the prisons to the Red Cross and other bodies to ensure such things don’t happen again.
