Some photographs ask questions instead of giving answers.
I never saw the face of the passenger. I don’t know where they were headed, what they were thinking about, or whether they were simply resting after a long day.
That’s what drew me to this moment.
In a city that never stops moving, there are brief pauses that belong to no one but the person living them. For a fraction of a second, the speeding train framed a quiet, solitary moment before carrying it away again.
Sometimes the most powerful stories aren’t the ones we witness.
They’re the ones we imagine.
