So, where did art exist? What is art? Did it reside in the object, or in the artist? Is it the performance, or something that happens outside it, or inside it, or before? Is a viewer necessary for art to “happen?” And when it happens, where? If an art tree falls in the forest and there’s no one around to witness it, does it make an art sound?
