The app for independent voices

The irony of my followers on other apps warning me about joining Substack due to Substack accounts being allowed to spew problematic views here, is that those other apps considered my views problematic over there and suppressed my content accordingly. I understand disagreeing that hate speech should be protected free speech, but relying on big tech to decide which is which seems a smidge naïve to say the least.

Ultimately, none of these apps will ever pass a moral purity test… Big tech itself could never. That’s a point that seems missed by followers of mine on problematic apps, finger-wagging at me for joining a different problematic app. Unless your social media is literal smoke signals, carrier pigeons, of djimbe drums, the tech company behind your app of choice is quite likely guilty of policies and practices, known and unbeknownst to you.

I have my own website (sunnmcheaux.com), and I have had to change hosts a couple times due to their policies and practices, too, but I digress… My objective isn’t to silence what others have to say but to be unimpeded in saying what I have to say, and you all being able to suss out which points of views resonate with you. Having TERF or Neo-Nazi neighbors is a drag, but, as Charles Edward Murphy would say, when it comes to this Subtack right here, it’s MY HOUSE.

Oh, and STOP telling me to join Fanbase and abandon all other apps, when I’ve been on Fanbase for years (verified), and the Fanbase app, as well as its founder have multiple accounts on competitor apps, too.
