I am seeing increased infant mortality in the Philippines; infant mortality that is rising over time since 2021, the first year of vaccine rollout. At least 89% of adults aged 19 to 59, and 80% of children aged 12 - 17 received complete series of covid-19 vaccines. Vaccination of the general population started in March 2021. Most adults who were going to take vaccines had completed this by mid-2022. Vaccination ended in the Philippines by mid-2023.

Infant mortality dropped dramatically in 2020, the first year of the pandemic, but rose there-after. Infant mortality rose sharply in 2021 and thereafter, increasing each year. Breaking down by 0-27 days, and 28 days to 1 year, it may be observed that there was a big spike in infant mortality in 2021, a slight decrease in 2021 (only for infants aged 0-27 days), but a further big increase in 2023. Mortality impacts were worse for female infants than male infants.

Note that 2024 data has not yet been released.
