This year's International Women's Day Theme is 'Give to Gain' When we give, we gain.

Women need to be the ones lifting each other up. There is no competition, only collaboration in my mind. If one of us succeeds, all of us will. When women thrive in this industry, the entire wine world becomes stronger.

In wine, generosity matters. Sharing knowledge. Lifting other women up. Making space at the table. Passing along opportunities when they come your way.

I just spent time as a Fellow at the Wine Writers' Symposium at Meadowood Napa Valley thanks to Napa Valley Vintners and Natural Cork Council where this was absolutely part of the message.

I have so much to say on this topic, but for now, let's remember to always give to gain. Be open to mentorship. Be transparent. Be kind.
