The investor who is thinking only about their next point while you are still finishing your sentence has just made themselves dumber than you for the duration of that meeting.
The investor who asks a question and then actually processes the answer learns something.
You find out nothing about a market, a customer, a co-founder, or a cap table while you are talking. All of it arrives in the focussed silence you are willing to hold.
Sounds obvious but most people are not willing to hold it.
