Every investor you pitch before you are ready is an investor you cannot pitch when you are.

The funding world has a memory. An angel who heard your deck six months ago and passed is not a fresh contact when you come back with better numbers. She already formed a view. Changing it requires enough delta to overcome the anchor of the first impression. That is harder than a cold introduction would have been.

Founders go out early because waiting feels like losing time. It is not. It is protecting optionality.

Go out when the answer to "what's changed since we last spoke" is so obvious you barely need to say it.
