So glad to find your story, and I’m right there with you. In that spirit: I find the same originality in Québec publishing, original science fiction and fantasy and surreality that often comes from les regions. This is thrilling (and a little unnerving) to “go wide,” eh? Same thing with Cinema Directe. I remember seeing Villeneuve’s DUNE and yelling, Omg, he’s recreating Northern Québec landscapes!
