Oh Bruce, how much time have you ACTUALLY SPENT on PBS? It is the best programming you'll find on TV or the Internet. Nova (science), American Experience (American history), PBS NEWS (who bend over backwards to NOT be biased), American Masters (American cultural icons), Ken Burns Docs (focusing on major American themes, and the BEST doc. makers out there), all the children's programming, Masterpiece Mysteries (drama, in mystery format made here and abroad) Masterpiece Theater (dramas set in a variety of eras set here and abroad), Frontline (indepth studies on current news often done in conjunction with a wide variety of sources), Secrets of the Dead (archeology, science based history in doc format)

Watching a variety of PBS shows, is getting a broad education, and it's worth far more govt funding than they ever received!

Give I try for a week or two, you might just enjoy it, and perhaps learn something new.
