Just have to remind… Dickinson is the mother of the em-dash, to my knowledge. Not AI.
I have ADHD and unless readers want me using parentheses and/or footnotes all over the place, I hope they can accept my beloved em-dash use, lest I accuse them of ableism as soon as I’m accused of using a robot to write.
Long live the strong and (relatively) subtle em-dash!
If you want to talk about grammar and syntax and when I prefer to use each punctuation mark (in a given project, I do believe consistency or “adherence to a personal style guide” is what matters most), let’s chat! I didn’t see the need for an em-dash in this post, for example.
But now sorta regret not using this as a fun little punctuation-use prompt. 😉
In spite of this, I’ll now push “Post”!
