For Sword&Spade men, Easter doesn’t just arrive like any other day of the week.

The resurrection is something you prepare your heart and home for, like laying kindling for a fire before you strike the match.

Here’s what we do:

1. Get to confession.

Don’t overthink it.

If your parish times don’t work, find another. Drive to the next town over if you have to. Take a long lunch break. If possible, bring your family.

Don’t walk into Easter carrying sin that should’ve been laid at the foot of the cross.

2. Enter into the Triduum.

The church invites you into the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord. Will you heed the call?

  • Holy Thursday

  • Good Friday

  • Easter Vigil

Pick one Mass or show up to all of them. Skip work if you have to. Take a proper holiday (holy day).

This is how we show the world what matters most during this time and for eternity.

3. Start the Divine Mercy Novena on Good Friday.

Novenas are the handrails of a prayer life that actively looks for God’s action in the world.

This one runs from Good Friday to Divine Mercy Sunday. Can you offer a few minutes a day before the throne of God?

This is who we are.

Easter is coming, and as we say in the south, it's time to get right with the Lord!
