The Saga Pattern (Choreography):

A central orchestrator can become a single point of failure and a performance bottleneck. This "centralized risk" is exactly what microservices try to avoid. Choreography allows each service to listen for events and decide on its own next step. It creates a highly decoupled and resilient system where services "dance" together without a central conductor.
