Guidelines to finding your next business idea:

  • Go niche into an industry, solve a very specific problem.

  • Only solve problems you have personal experience with or in depth knowledge of.

  • Create an idea filter system for yourself. every idea may seem like a masterpiece and it very well may be. Just not for you

  • Don’t treat ideas like one night stands, if you truly want it to work, marry it. You’ll end up finding ways to make it work which you otherwise wouldn’t.

  • You don’t have to reinvent the wheel, nor do you have to risk it big. your first venture can and should be a safe play the play you know your going to win, a play thats tried, true and tested.

  • Work with tools and platforms you are familiar with, SaaS businesses may be all the buzz but if your skillset lies in content creation you're better off with a business model taking advantage of that.

Your first business most likely will fail, but your 15th or 50th business might not, just fail faster. Remember the optimists tend to win and the cynics get to be right.
