Since he lost, maybe we should play this every hour until people like you get a clue as to why people like me left the Democratic Party?
I found hard evidence the FBI and other agencies were flagging routine speech even by small accounts for suppression, and rather than engage on the issue, Colin Allred first told me to “take off the tinfoil hat” (implying there was no censorship program), then to appreciate that our “national security agencies are trying their best” (implying there is a censorship program, but I should accept and appreciate it).
Colin Allred called me a conspiracy theorist for doing my job. This had nothing to do with Trump or left-right politics. His beef was reporting about agencies like the FBI/DHS/GEC. He spent his initial questioning period misquoting me, disparaging my work, and lecturing me for insufficient loyalty to national security officials.
If people like him had their way, even platforms like Substack would be taking calls from the FBI or the CDC or whomever about content. Most of us on this platform appreciate this place because the owners refuse to allow such things. But to you, we should be less concerned with the First Amendment than with what closet Ted Cruz was in.
