Make money doing the work you believe in

When they call it “generosity,” we need to look closer.

In Alberta, the province is returning $100 — once — to nearly every Albertan from the fuel tax you already paid, and marketing it as relief.

At the same time, it is the only province in Canada clawing back $204 every month from the poorest and most vulnerable: people receiving AISH — soon to be replaced by the new Alberta Disability Assistance Program (ADAP) — a situation that carries its own tragic story.

This money is taken directly from the federal Canada Disability Benefit — dollars specifically created to help lift disabled Canadians out of poverty.

Help meant to lift people up. Taken away to keep them down.

This isn’t fiscal prudence. It’s a choice — and one that harms the Albertans who can least afford it.

We can do better. Let’s question the narrative and demand policies that actually support our most vulnerable.
