I used to live on Piazza Santo Spirito, and work around the corner. It was truly the neighbourhood back garden of Firenze.
There's a spot you can stand on, where you look up and everything lines up in perfect symmetry, and you can't help but thank Brunelleschi for his magic sprinkled all over the city, even in simple/unnoticed parts.
A couple of weeks ago, trapped in dizzying nostalgia, I couldn't find that spot as a car was parked on it… but I still tried to take the photo.
