Make money doing the work you believe in

When I was redoing my website and resume, I counted up all of the content work I’ve done for freelance clients.

I wrote or revised 61 pieces of content for one of the largest MedTech companies in the world. I wrote another 116 pieces for the largest health system in the United States. I’ve been given first dibs at new programs, requested by name by clients, and passed on to colleagues when my editorial contacts moved on to new roles.

I am not saying that to brag. I rarely sit down to look at my accomplishments, so I never give myself enough credit for the work I’ve done and the knowledge I have gained.

Sometimes I look at some of the topics I’ve written about and shake my head in amazement, feeling silly for doubting my ability to grasp and explain complex subjects.

Now if I can just keep this newfound confidence going as I continue applying for work. 😂
