With only three weeks left in our time abroad, I didn’t think I’d spend two days back to back at the local library.
Not out sightseeing. Not at a museum or market.
Just in the children’s section of our neighbourhood library, sitting on the floor, reading books with my daughter.
Because this is the reality of a nine month trip with a one year old, especially when one parent is back at the apartment not feeling well. It’s the everyday outings - the stuff we’d probably do back home - that still feels a bit different and exciting because we’re not home.
