China’s video AI sector has already moved beyond experimentation.

Seedance, Kling and Hailuo are now generating hundreds of millions in revenue. AI video tools are embedded directly into e-commerce, content pipelines and creator workflows, cutting costs massively for clients. In the short drama sector, costs for AI generated episodes are down more than 90%.

Commercialization in video AI is fast, integrated, revenue-driven. Hosted and backed by China’s biggest platform ecosystems, feedback and distribution is built in to operations at Seedance and Kling.

US models like OpenAI Sora generate attention, but are in reality still stuck at the high cost demo stage.
