I didn’t think the AI moratorium would pass the parliamentarian’s review but that’s because I hadn’t looked closely enough. It’s a denial of broadband funding to states, not a ban on regulations. If this provision doesn’t get stripped out, states could keep their AI regulations they just won’t get federal broadband funding if they do. We’ll see if it survives the floor debate.
