In 2005, there were 3,400 Sears stores. Now there are only 5 left. This is a case study in a corporate arrogance.
Sears forgot about the customer, and even though it was the largest retailer in the world, it eventually self-destructed. The whole process took more than 50 years, but was inevitable.
This will happen to some of today’s dominant companies, because they are making the exact same mistakes.
